The story behind the photo: Taken on the same day as
several other images at Mammoth Hot Springs, here we have the very interesting
inactive Jupiter Terrace. Clearly, this terrace looks nothing like
Jupiter when inactive. Water is not flowing. There is no algae,
therefore growing in the hot water. When active, this terrace would
look much like some of the other terraces. Thus, it more closely
resembles the moon than Jupiter. The terraces are intriguing nevertheless.
Overhead, one sees a raven flying over the feature.
