Name: Jim Macdonald
Location: Bozeman, MT, United States

Hi, my name is Jim Macdonald, and I have an odd assortment of interests. In no particular order, I love Yellowstone, I am an anti-authoritarian activist and organizer who just moved from Washington, DC to Bozeman, and I have a background in philosophy, having taught at the college level. My blog has a lot more links to my writing and my other Web sites. In Jim's Eclectic World, I try to give a holistic view of my many interests. Often, all three passions show themselves interweaving in the very same blog. Anyhow, I think it's a little different. But, that's me. I'm not so much out there, but taken together, I'm a little unusual.

Re-design of my Yellowstone Web site

For Christmas, I wasn't able to spend it with family. So, I re-deisgned my Yellowstone Web site, The Magic of Yellowstone. I changed the layout and updated some of the material. I plan to apply this layout to all the main sections of the site and have already done so to the Yellowstone Newspaper. The front page should change regularly. In the past, top news stories changed, but now I'm also going to have a new "picture of the week" up every week. I'm also going to make sure that my more significant writings on Yellowstone are a little more prominently displayed.

I think this is a big improvement over what was there. Now, I'm going to spend the holidays putting in the new design while updating the site. It's rare that I get 10 days off in a row without anywhere to go, and so I'm going to make the most of it.
